Do you believe love in the first...or maybe second sight? Would anyone know immediately as soon people's eyes met, then everything that happens from then on just proves that they have been right in that first moment... When people suddenly realize that they were incomplete and now they are whole...
Rachel (Piper Perabo) and Heck (Matthew Goode) are married and so in love. They met a florist, Luce (Lena Headey) on their wedding party. Both Rachel and Heck are trying to introduce her with their playboy friend, Cooper (Darren Boyd). Unbeknownst to them, that Luce is actually a lesbian. The match-making is failed, but Rachel and Luce are falling in love.
Compare it to Brokeback Mountain, this movie is light and good which I enjoyed it. I have to say it first; and scream it if I have to, that Matthew Goode and Darrey Boyd are so incredibly handsome, tall and everything that women finds them attracted to. Oh, my God! I was melting on my chair everytime they appeared. Oh oh oh oh... They look so perfect and a good eye-candy, especially to me! And I'd say it again; Matthew Goode should be James Bond. Have you heard his voice? And I'm so in love with Darrey Boyd. Ooohhhhhhh...I can't give a straight review because of them, they are so yummy. Anyway, this film is completely predictable basically. Very pleasant movie and funny but not too comedic, so basically it's okay.
Although the gay theme is visible, it isn't controversial, nor violent, nor offensive, nor naughty, and not a tearjerker. Maybe because it's a British movie. I wonder if they made it as American movie, probably could be higher up to a notch in controversial belt. It's pretty romantic, in my opinion. The writing is snappy, witty, and a bit funny. No annoying characters, but hardly developed either. The scenes are pretty, the cinematography is breath-taking, the actors acted well through and attractive. The actress are georgeous too, man I envy their prettiness. And Piper Perabo's English accent are flawless, albeit she's an American. Overall, this is a good, clean, happy and gay romantic comedy film.
Due to my hectic schedule, I will not be able to review all new movies every week. I apologize. I will however review some older movies from DVDs from time to time. Thank you for understanding.
